Yes! I can finally get some sleep! It’s about time . . . two weeks of amazing athletics is too much of a good thing. It was an amazing Olympiad: so many incredible performances, dozens of world records, and of course there was a good deal of foreign policy posturing going on, too:

Highly entertaining stuff!
So I’ve been catching lots of flak from my fanclub lately, and justly so. I’ve been a super slacker lately where blogging is concerned. Not for lack of material, but for lack of time. I’ve been packing in the training sessions in preparation for Ironman Louisville on August 31, so staying up late to write blogs has been difficult. I have fallen asleep on my computer keyboard a few times in these last few weeks while trying to crank out a few lines of wit and wisdom. Now, finally, I’m tapering down and trying to get significant rest. I realized today that my legs have been sore constantly for the last 3 months. If I can start this Ironman with fresh legs, I’ll cruise through it. If not, it will be an epic sufferfest.
It’s been and amazing 2 weeks. As I’m falling asleep for the 3rd time tonight, I”m going to sign off. Phelps, Bolt, Yelensa Isinabayeva, and many more inspiring performances. I hope you’re inspired too.
